DGIST held Commencement Ceremony in August 2019 - Produced a total of 64 science and technology talents including 17 Ph.D. students, 20 master’s students, and 27 bachelor’s students
DGIST (President Young Kuk) held its ‘August 2019 Graduation Commencement Ceremony’ in its university headquarters Convention Hall from 10:30am on Wednesday, August 21. Degrees were awarded to a total of 64 students including 17 doctoral, 20 master’s, and 27 bachelor’s students during the degree conferment ceremony.
Chan-gang Lee, who received the bachelor’s degree and will be entering graduate school in the Department of New Materials Science said “I could develop fundamental knowledge and skills and build the framework for creative thinking which are needed to carry out research through DGIST’s own convergence, multidisciplinary studies. I plan to conduct more in-depth research in magnetic thin film at DGIST graduate school.”
In addition, Moon-seok Chae who received the doctoral degree from the Department of Energy Engineering said “DGIST is a perfect place to conduct convergence research through collaboration of various academic fields. I am planning to perform research in overseas institutes based on my previous experience of next generation battery research at DGIST.”
President Young Kuk of DGIST said “I believe all our graduates have enough qualifications as well as competence to become global leaders through DGIST’s unique curriculum and various research experiences. As we get wholehearted support from our country and community, I sincerely hope they become excellent human resources who contribute to the development of our society with a strong sense of responsibility.”
